I often scroll through Pinterest admiring all of the innovative and beautiful DIY projects. My home should be magazine ready! That’s assuming I have the same skill level as them. Let’s be honest, I don’t. But a girl can dream. So, when I found this DIY I was ecstatic! It looked too good to be true. But it is just as easy as it looks. Here is the exact pin I used. I have turned into the candle lady. Sometime last year I really got into them. Now, it’s a problem! I literally burn a candle in every room in the house. Except for the boys’ bedroom and play room. Surely the house would burn down if I did. It just brings me joy to clean and then burn a candle.
But this new obsession of mine has produced more clutter. The candle jars are too pretty to throw away. So, they just accumulate in my office closet. Now, I have something to do with them!
Just like the instructions say, you can clearly see the wax lifting from the bottom of the jar. Here’s a couple completed jars.
As you can see, I used them to store the letters for my letter boards. They are perfect for organizing small items. On Pinterest I’ve seen them used to organize bathroom items such as q-tips and cotton balls. One way to “jooj it up” a bit is to add a drawer pull to the top. You can find them at any hardware store and they are very inexpensive. One of my fav stores, Hobby Lobby, also carries drawer pulls. Pretty sure I’ll be trying that soon!
